Summary
One in this long-running western drama series about widower Ben Cartwright, his sons, and their adventures on Nevada's Ponderosa ranch. In this episode, the Cartwrights and their hired hand, Candy, rush to support a crippled cavalry unit, which has suffered heavy losses in a bloody attack from an outlaw band. Having grown up in a military family, Candy encounters old acquaintances and memories that prove far more perilous than the bandit's well-aimed bullets. The ranch hand is disturbed upon discovering that his former wife is now married to the troops' commanding officer. His personal turmoil is compounded when he learns that the adversarial band that the troops are battling is headed by his boyhood companion, Angel Montana. In the course of the conflict, Candy must confront painful memories and resolve complex relationships. Commercials deleted.
