HAPPY DAYS: I DRINK, THERFORE I AM (TV)
Summary
One in the series of comedies about life in the 1950s. In this episode, Melvin, K.C., Jenny, and Bobby plan the Winter Carnival at Arnold's as Fonzie arrives, upset about the death of his barber. Meanwhile, everyone notices that Flip has begun hanging out with a new crew and getting drunk. Roger speaks with Flip and tells him to quit hanging out with Kelly and his no-goodnik crowd. That night, Howard returns home to find three barbers sitting in his living room, auditioning for the Fonz's open slot. Later, a frustrated Roger comes to Howard and Marion, unsure what to do with his brother and his underage drinking problem. The next day, Roger tries to talk with Flip about his drinking, but presenting himself as a concerned friend rather than a big brother. It seems to get through to Flip -- until Kelly and Mark convince him otherwise. Meanwhile, the Fonz considers allowing Ashley to give him a haircut. Before she can, Heather gets hit by a car. Fonz and Ashley rush outside to rescue her, finding nothing seriously wrong with the girl. Fonz learns that it was a yellow car that hit Heather and immediately wants to find the hit-and-run driver. Back at Arnold's, K.C. comes up with the wining idea for the Winter Carnival. Meanwhile, Flip, Mark, and Kelly are scared after having hit Heather, trying to come up with an alibi. Flip claims he is going to the police though, angering his mates. Then, Fonz arrives to discuss the accident and attacks Kelly, who was driving, and passengers Mark and Flip. Fonz is furious with Flip, trying to teach him about being cool. Fonz takes Flip to turn himself in to the authorities and later Flip goes to apologize to Ashley and Heather. Finally, Marion starts her own haircutting business in her living room. Commercials deleted.
