JACKIE GLEASON PRESENTS: THE HONEYMOONERS {VALENTINE'S DAY SPECIAL} (TV)
Summary
This special comedy presentation features the characters from the series, "The Honeymooners," including Ralph Kramden, a blustery bus driver, his long-suffering but understanding wife, Alice, and their neighbors, Ed and Trixie Norton. In this program, Valentine's Day is rapidly approaching -- a holiday which is also the anniversary of Ralph's marriage proposal to Alice. Ralph and Alice plan to surprise one another with special presents, and, unbeknownst to Ralph, Alice has been working at a telephone answering service during evenings to save money to buy him a tailor-made suit. Unfortunately, Ralph begins to get suspicious of Alice when she seems to be spending every evening "at her sister's," and he becomes convinced that she is having an affair with another man. Ralph tracks down the phone numbers of some of Alice's calls from work, while Alice casually tries to obtain Ralph's measurements. As a result, Ralph and Ed begins to suspect that Alice and her mysterious boyfriend are going to kill Ralph, and that Alice is measuring him for a coffin. The hapless duo set out to investigate Alice's activities, even to the extent of going undercover as mother and daughter to meet the man they think she is seeing. Commercials deleted.
