PEE-WEE'S PLAYHOUSE: LUAU FOR TWO (TV)

Summary

One in this series of children's programs starring madcap host Pee-wee Herman, featuring animation, puppets, and vintage cartoons. Highlights of this program include the secret word of the day; face-molding with invisible tape; connect-the-dots with Magic Screen; a "Penny" cartoon; Pee-wee's surfing practice, featuring archival surfing footage; and an archival travel documentary about the wonders of Hawaii, featuring luaus and the "famous pooh-pooh" platter. When a game show host awards Pee-wee a free dinner for two at a Hawaiian restaurant, Miss Yvonne, Tito, Captain Carl, and Mrs. Steve all want to be his lucky guest at the dinner, and Pee-wee must decide which of his friends to bring. Luckily, Jambi uses his genie powers to transform the entire playhouse into a Hawaiian luau for all. Commercials deleted.
