FUGITIVE, THE {ORIGINAL SERIES}: CONCRETE EVIDENCE (TV)
Summary
One in this series of dramas about Dr. Richard Kimble, an innocent man convicted of his wife's murder. Unable to prove his innocence, Kimble escapes en route to prison and searches for the one-armed man who he believes to be the murderer. In this episode, Kimble is hired by an ailing construction company owner, Pat Patton, who discovers the eponymous fugitive's true identity. The sick owner is hated by the townspeople of Coleman: a theater that he had built ten years earlier collapsed, killing several children. Although Pat pretends to be building a hotel, he is secretly constructing a peace offering: a hospital that will rehabilitate injured children. Pat hopes to utilize Kimble's medical knowledge to extend his own life in order to complete the hospital, and, distrustful of the town's doctors, Pat soon makes Kimble a close associate. The benevolent plan may never come to fruition, however, as Pat's wife, Pearl, begins to feel that Kimble is replacing her as a business partner. When Pearl accidentally discovers the fugitive's true identity, his freedom may be nearing its end. Commercials deleted.
