WHITE SHADOW, THE: VANITY FARE (TV)

Summary

One in this series of dramas about Ken Reeves, a former professional basketball player, who begins a new life as the basketball coach of Carver High, an inner-city high school in Los Angeles. In this episode, Reeves is offered a part in a local commercial and the team decides to put its singing talents to the test by auditioning for a record company. Reeves is skeptical about doing the commercial but jumps at the opportunity when he hears how much he will be paid. At the audition, the team impresses the record company executive and makes a deal to cut an album. The contract the team signs, however, states that a substantial amount of money is needed to rent the studio. They talk Salami and Vitaglia into using the money they won at the racetrack for the recording studio rental. After reading the contract the players signed, however, Reeves tells them they've been scammed and have wasted their money. Meanwhile, Reeves begins shooting the commercial and realizes just how much work is involved in being a television star. Commercials deleted.
