ANYTHING BUT LOVE: THIRTY ... SOMETHING {SECOND SEASON FINALE} (TV)

Summary

One in this comedy series about Marty Gold and Hannah Miller, reporters for the Chicago Weekly Magazine, who begin a platonic relationship but realize that their feelings run deeper. In this episode, Hannah, who is turning thirty, begins to reflect on her life. Her goal in her thirties is to find a companion to love for the rest of her life. While she is getting ready for bed, Marty calls so he can be the first to wish her a happy birthday. Robin mentions that the relationship Hannah has with Marty could possibly turn into more than just a friendship, and Hannah wonders if her feelings for Marty run deeper then she wants to admit. Since she has no date for her birthday, Marty takes her out to dinner, and she imagines what Marty would be like as a husband. While the two friends are finishing the meal, Hannah builds up the courage to express her feelings to Marty, but her co-workers spoil the moment by surprising them at the restaurant. Back at her apartment, Marty reinforces the notion of their friendship, and Hannah chickens out by not saying anything. Later, Robin comes in with a present for Hannah that was delivered: the present is from Marty, and Hannah is astonished by what it is. She realizes that she must call Marty and say what she has wanted to tell him for a long time. Includes commercials and promos. This program is closed-captioned.
