CHRISTMAS EVE ON SESAME STREET (TV)
Summary
In a departure from the usual "Sesame Street" format, this Christmas Eve special deals with Big Bird's anxiety that the rotund Santa will be unable to fit through the narrow Sesame Street chimneys, and teaches a lesson about generosity by showing the sacrifices that Bert and Ernie make in order to give each other Christmas gifts. The program features a variety of seasonal tunes, including "True Blue Miracle," "Keep Christmas With You," "I Hate Christmas," and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," and opens with the "Sesame Street" regulars -- adults, children, and Muppets -- enjoying an outing at an ice-skating rink.
