HOWARD STERN SHOW, THE: THE BOWLING SHOW {RICHARD SIMMONS, YOUNG MC, AMY LYNN, FELIX CAVALIERE} (TV)

Summary

One in this comedy/variety series hosted by morning radio personality Howard Stern, who brings his raunchy and often outrageous radio show to television. In this episode, Stern's guests are weightloss guru Richard Simmons, rap music star Young MC, and the former singer of The Young Rascals Felix Cavaliere. Highlights of this program include: "Sternac the Improbable," which is a take-off on Johnny Carson's famous "Carnac the Magnificent" routine; Richard Simmons, who wrote out a list of demands for Stern before agreeing to come on the program, shows clips from his latest exercise video, which Stern has purposely tampered with; Stern introduces two people who have lost tremendous amounts of weight by working with Simmons; Ed McMahon is berated in a phony commercial; Young MC discusses whether or not rap music emphasizes racial hatred; Stern decides to switch topics and talk about the women Young MC has dated, especially one of them, Amy Lynn -- a stripper -- who happens to join the guest panel; Robin Quivers recaps the news stories from the past week; Stuttering John Melendez interviews radio legend Paul Harvey and Frances Bergen, the mother of actress Candice Bergen; and Cavaliere concludes the show by singing "I've Been Lonely Too Long" and "Good Lovin'." Includes commercials. This program is closed-captioned.
