Summary
One in this comedy/drama series about the colorful inhabitants of Cicely, a rural Alaskan town where native New Yorker Joel Fleischman establishes his first medical practice. In this episode, Joel and Ed discover a huge footprint that recalls the local legend of Adam, a purportedly hulking, broad-shouldered creature. As the moon bewitches the Cicely residents, a pattern of synchronicity begins to develop between Chris and a biker named Bernard who has arrived in town. In the midst of massive sleep deprivation and discussions about the psychological theories of Dr. Carl Jung, the two construct a sculpture about the Aurora Borealis, or the Northern Lights, and gradually learn more about the psychic connection that binds them. Meanwhile, Joel becomes stranded in the middle of the woods and encounters a misanthropic culinary genius who lives as a hermit in the Alaskan bush. Commercials deleted.
