VISITORS (TV)

Summary

Based upon "Sufficient Carbohydrate" (1983), the first drama conceived and produced for the theater by writer Dennis Potter, "Visitors" focuses on the disillusionment of Jack (Standing), an English businessman whose family company has been taken over by an American conglomerate. Vacationing in an Italian villa with the family of his new manager, Eddie (Brandon), Jack becomes increasingly bitter and engenders antagonism and sexual intrigue. The cruelty of the proceedings is observed by Eddie's son, Clayton (MacNaughton), who imagines a murderous resolution.

(This program aired under the umbrella of "Screen Two.")
