MUPPET SHOW, THE {MADELINE KAHN} (TV)

Summary

One in this series of comedy/variety programs featuring Jim Henson's Muppets, and hosted by the group's genial emerald ringleader, Kermit the Frog. In this episode, a dapper Kermit, dressed in a tuxedo, opens the program with a tap dance number to the tune "Happy Feet," followed by guest Madeline Kahn, dressed in harem attire, performing "Feet" with a trio of giant Muppets wearing turbans. In other highlights, Miss Piggy, Capt. Link Hogthrob, and Dr. Strangepork look for the steering controls in the ongoing saga, "Pigs in Space"; the gibbering Swedish Chef is assaulted by a marauding band of Spanish lobsters; and Gonzo resolves his unrequited love for Kahn.
