Summary

One in this series of comedy/variety programs featuring Jim Henson's Muppets, and hosted by the group's genial emerald ringleader, Kermit the Frog. This episode features ventriloquist Edgar Bergen and his dummy, Charlie McCarthy. Highlights include the following: barnyard roosters sing "Baby Face"; Kermit exchanges barbs with the belligerent Charlie McCarthy; Gonzo the Great wrestles a brick and is vanquished in the first round; Link Hogthrob and Dr. Strangepork force Miss Piggy to do the laundry for the entire Swinetrek crew in an installment of the ongoing saga "Pigs in Space"; Bergen introduces Fozzie Bear to one of his puppets, Mortimer Snerd, a shy, slow-witted country bumpkin; and a Muppet scientist conducts experiments with rejuvenating drugs while singing "Time in a Bottle."
