SEINFELD: THE TRIP (PART 1) {FOURTH SEASON PREMIERE} (TV)
Summary
Part one of a two-part season premiere in this comedy series set in New York City in which comedian Jerry Seinfeld plays himself. Humorous situations in his personal life are interspersed with brief stand-up comedy routines. In this episode, Jerry and George travel to Los Angeles so that Jerry can perform on "The Tonight Show," and to search for Kramer, who left for California in the final episode of the previous season. Complications ensue as Jerry and George get stopped at a metal detector at the airport. Meanwhile, Kramer goes on an audition, where he meets a woman who is later found dead at the side of a road, and gives his film treatment to child actor Fred Savage. Also, George and Jerry argue about whether blankets on the bed should be tucked in or not, George gives tips to actors Corbin Bernsen and George Wendt, and Jerry has a rough time on "Tonight" after the maid at the hotel disposes of his notes for his act. At the end of part one, Jerry and George see Kramer's face on the news as the prime suspect in a recent series of stranglings. Commercials deleted.
