STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION: CONUNDRUM (TV)

Summary

One in this series of science fiction programs about the voyages of the U.S.S. Enterprise in the 24th century. This sequel to the original "Star Trek" series is set approximately 85 years after the journeys of the first Enterprise crew. In this episode, the Enterprise is hit with a scan that washes away the memories of everyone on board. The crew members must attempt to determine who they are, what their ranks are, and what the mission of the Enterprise is. Certain computer files have been entirely erased, and the existing files lead the crew to believe that they must fulfill a secret, crucial mission in a war that they know nothing else about. Unbeknownst to the crew, the person they believe to be second in command is a complete stranger who is exerting his influence over several crew members. Unable to communicate with Starfleet command, Capt. Picard suspects that something is amiss when the Enterprise faces no resistance in the planned attack against an enemy with obviously inferior technology. Commercials deleted.
