DICK VAN DYKE SHOW, THE: OH, HOW WE MET THE NIGHT THAT WE DANCED (TV)
Summary
One in this series of comedy programs about the personal and professional life of Rob Petrie, the head comedy writer for television's "Alan Brady Show." In this episode, Laura and Rob tell their son Ritchie about the first time they met: Rob was in the army and Laura was in the USO. Rob sees Laura rehearsing and decides that she is the girl he is going to marry. The only trouble is that she does not like him at all. Rob concludes that the best way to get to know her is to dance with her. He pays off her partner so that he can go on stage with her. Unfortunately, at the end of the number, Rob steps on Laura's foot and breaks her toes, leaving her with more disdain for him than before. Commercials deleted.
