HOMICIDE: LIFE ON THE STREET: A SHOT IN THE DARK (TV)
Summary
One in this series of police dramas about a department of reflective homicide detectives in Baltimore, Maryland. In this episode, Detective Bayliss continues his investigation into the murder of a schoolgirl; although the rookie detective wants to interview the girl's former boss again, the more experienced Detective Pembleton argues that he is wasting his time. Meanwhile, detectives Munch and Bolander investigate an attempted double homicide, whose only possible witness is found hiding in a doghouse. Bolander finds himself in a similar place with Dr. Blythe, whom he rudely avoids the day after their date. Meanwhile, Detective Crosetti believes that Alfred Smith is the would-be murderer of Officer Chris Thormann: Smith's clothes are marked with traces of the officer's blood, but Lewis questions the accuracy of Charlie Flavin's eyewitness account of the crime. Thormann, meanwhile, startles his doctors by awaking from a coma and uttering a few words. This program concludes as Pembleton brings Bayliss some shocking news about the schoolgirl homicide case. Commercials deleted.
