ALFRED J. KWAK (TV)
Summary
One in this multinational series of animated children's programs about the adventures of a spirited duck named Alfred J. Kwak who lives in Waterland. In this episode, Alfred decides that he wants to become a classical musician to impress his girlfriend, Winnie, who has fallen in love with pop star Van Duckson. Although Alfred's father, Hank, tries to dissuade his seemingly tone-deaf son from playing the piano, the stubborn duck grows more insistent, especially when he learns that Van Duckson will be performing in Waterland. Alfred grows somber when his piano lessons progress slowly, and becomes sadder when Winnie insists that they attend the concert. After the event, Alfred and Winnie meet and dine with Van Duckson, who becomes enthralled by the infatuated Winnie, and the pop star ultimately expresses his love for her. Alfred returns home alone, fearing he is a lame duck. (This series aired on TV Tokyo in Japan, Vara in Holland, ZDF in Germany, and Television Espanola in Spain.)
