Summary
One in this anthology series of ghost stories and scary tales for children. The young storytellers in the "Midnight Club" gather each week by a campfire in the woods, telling ghastly but not gory accounts of spooky occurrences. In this episode, David takes his turn to tell a ghoulish story. His tale centers on Amanda, a sensitive girl whose life becomes a nightmare when she spends the summer with her bullying cousin, Beth. The spiteful girl does not allow Amanda to spend time with friends unless she completes Beth's chores and agrees to spend the night alone in the abandoned house next door, which is rumored to be haunted. While in the house, Amanda discovers an eerie secret that tests her courage and that may change both the past and the future. (This series also airs on the CBC in Canada.)
