Summary
One in this series about police Capt. Barney Miller and his squad of detectives in Manhattan's 12th Precinct. The first of the final three episodes of the series. In this episode, the precinct building is inspected for architectural features that would qualify it for landmark status. During the inspection, a man who was robbed of all his money at an ATM tries to get a loan from Harris; a man who was formerly held hostage in Africa is brought in for attacking the cleaning people in his building, yet he refuses to leave when his employers post bail for him; and the detectives learn from a prospective buyer that if the building is declared a landmark it may be sold and renovated, and the precinct will be disbanded. Commercials deleted.
