ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS: FASHION {SERIES PREMIERE} (TV)
Summary
The first episode in this British comedy series about two dissolute middle-aged friends -- London fashion publicist Edina and fashion editor Patsy -- and Edina's level-headed teen-age daughter Saffron. In this episode, Edina awakens late with a wicked hangover and grows hysterical at the thought of organizing a major fashion show that evening. After a contentious exchange with her daughter Saffron, who says that Edina's crises are completely self-induced, Edina arrives at her office in a frenzy and somehow pulls together a highly successful show. Her efforts to stay away from alcohol to impress Saffron are not nearly so successful, however. Later, while celebrating the show, Edina gets drunk with her best friend Patsy and reveals her true feelings about her "fabulous" life.
