ALL IN THE FAMILY: WE'RE HAVING A HEAT WAVE (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about a working-class household presided over by the opinionated Archie Bunker. In this episode, a heat wave has struck in September and the mayor has asked all citizens to help conserve energy by turning off their air conditioners. It becomes even hotter when Mike and Archie argue over the Watergate issue and the new family who is about to move in next door. Archie receives a petition from his neighbors on the block stating they don't want anyone but a white couple moving in. Henry Jefferson hears of this and is outraged. Archie tries to persuade Jefferson to sign, but he refuses until he meets the new neighbors. Later, Jefferson learns that the house was not sold to the Puerto Rican couple but to a white family who will now be living next door to the Bunkers. Irene and Frank Lorenzo, the new neighbors, unexpectedly meet the Bunkers and their relationship gets off to a typical shaky start. Commercials deleted.
