STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE: BLOOD OATH (TV)

Summary

One in this series of science fiction programs about a twenty-fourth-century space station, Deep Space Nine. In this episode, Science Officer Jadzia Dax decides to honor an eighty-year-old "blood oath" she made with three Klingon warriors while she existed as Curzon Dax, her former Trill identity. Curzon Dax was a Federation diplomat whose fairness was so admired that the usually contentious Klingon Kang made him the godfather of his first-born son. When the sinister Albino murdered Kang's son, along with the firstborn sons of his fellow Klingons Kor and Koloth, Curzon made a lifelong pact with the three warriors to help avenge their children's deaths. The crafty Albino eluded them for decades, as the Klingons aged and Curzon died. Finally, Kang is able to locate their tormentor and the warriors prepare for one last battle. Although the Klingons do not expect Jadzia Dax to honor the commitment made in her former identity, she insists on helping them exact their vengeance. (Ansara, Colicos and Campbell portrayed the same Klingon characters in separate episodes of the original "Star Trek.") Commercials deleted.
