MIAMI VICE: PHIL THE SHILL (TV)
Summary
One in this series of police dramas concerning Sonny Crockett and Ricardo Tubbs, undercover detectives for the Miami vice squad. In this episode, the vice squad focuses hard on bringing down an elusive drug dealer named Tony Rivers after 18 months of unsuccessful surveillance attempts. The assignment conflicts with Switek's personal vendetta against an unscrupulous TV game show host named Phil who cheated him out of his winnings on the program. Phil unwittingly befriends Rivers' girlfriend Sarah and starts undercutting the couple's narcotics business. Crockett and Tubbs trap Phil into setting up a deal with Rivers that involves their undercover personas Burnett and Cooper. While the detectives, to their satisfaction, ultimately nab Rivers, to Switek's chagrin they cannot keep Phil and Sarah from getting away with a lot of money. Commercials deleted.
