MIAMI VICE: KILLSHOT (TV)
Summary
One in this series of police dramas concerning Sonny Crockett and Ricardo Tubbs, undercover detectives for the Miami vice squad. In this episode, Crockett and Tubbs go undercover as dealers in order to bust drug kingpin Louis Morales. Unbeknownst to them, Crockett's friend Frank Arriolla, a U.S. Customs agent, is being blackmailed by Morales and his associate Isabel Batista. The criminal duo claim to have tape of Frank's brother Tico, a famous jai alai player, killing a prostitute. Crockett and Tubbs set up a drug deal with Morales, but are set up in turn by Frank, who has warned the drug lord that they are cops. When guilt gets the better of him, Frank saves Crockett and Tubbs from Morales' trap, and in the process the kingpin himself is killed. The vice squad finally links Tico to the prostitute murder and go to arrest him at the jai alai courts, but Tico, distracted by their presence, is fatally injured. Unaware that Tico has died, Frank goes after the incriminating tape and seeks revenge on Batista. Crockett tries to stop Frank from ruining his life, but news of his brother's death finally pushes the customs agent over the edge. Commercials deleted.
