MIAMI VICE: AMEN ... SEND MONEY (TV)
Summary
One in this series of police dramas concerning Sonny Crockett and Ricardo Tubbs, undercover detectives for the Miami vice squad. In this episode, the vice squad arrests Leona Proverb, the wife of a television evangelist, for attempting to purchase illegal drugs. Afterwards, the evangelist, the Rev. Bill Bob Proverb, broadcasts a message to his followers stating that the vice squad is trying to corrupt his innocent wife, while off-camera he scolds Leona for not getting over her drug addiction. Tubbs gets a call from Faye Nell, a teen-age member of the Rev. Proverb's congregation, who claims to have information regarding Leona. However, when Tubbs meets Faye at the reverend's studio, she makes it appear as if Tubbs is raping her. Faye claims that God told her to meet with Tubbs and save him from his evil ways. Crockett and Tubbs assume that the Rev. Proverb convinced Faye that she could hear the voice of God, but they soon discover that someone else has had Tubbs set up in an attempt to make the Rev. Proverb look corrupt. Commercials deleted.
