AMERICAN PLAYHOUSE: RAY'S MALE HETEROSEXUAL DANCEHALL (TV)

Summary

One in this dramatic anthology series. This story follows the plight of Sam Logan, an unemployed executive who needs to develop contacts in order to land a good job. His friend Cal brings him to Ray's Heterosexual Dance Hall, the only place in town in which one can make the right contacts. The place is packed with corporate types. Ray, the owner, introduces himself to Sam and explains that men meet here to dance with each other and discuss business. Sam dances and chats with a number of "types" -- an outcast, a man who is not quite sure what his job is, a low-level manager with no hiring power, a man who sells intangibles, and an evasive double-talker. Eventually Sam is asked to dance by one of the "powerful ones," and his future is assured.
