MY SO-CALLED LIFE: PILOT {SERIES PREMIERE} (TV)
Summary
The pilot for this series of dramas about the life of Angela Chase, an angst-ridden fifteen-year-old girl, and her family and friends. In this episode, Angela begins to spend time with a new friend, Rayanne Graff, a wild, vivacious teenager, and Rickie Vasquez, Rayanne's constant companion. Angela takes Rayanne's advice and dyes her hair "crimson glow" in the hopes of improving her social life and her non-existent relationship with Jordan Catalano, a gorgeous and mysterious classmate. As Angela attempts to "find herself," she ignores her long-time best friend, quits the yearbook committee, and shocks her English teacher with her brash attitude. Then, against the advice of her old friend Brian Krakow, Angela lies to her parents and goes to a dangerous club with Rayanne and Rickie in the hopes of running into Jordan. Instead, she runs into trouble. Additionally, Angela begins to notice strains on her parents' marriage. Includes commercials, promos, and public service announcements.
