Summary

One in this series of police dramas about a department of reflective homicide detectives in Baltimore, Maryland. In this episode, Detective Felton attempts to convince a childhood friend that he should not commit the mercy killing of his own father, who is terminally ill with cancer; Pembleton and Bayliss begin a racially-charged investigation into the possible murder of a black man named Charles Courtland Cox, whom police claim to have accidentally killed as he ran from a crack house; and Bolander risks suspension when he refuses a departmentally-required session with a comely sensitivity consultant.
