HOMICIDE: LIFE ON THE STREET: THE LAST OF THE WATERMEN (TV)
Summary
One in this series of police dramas about a department of reflective homicide detectives in Baltimore, Maryland. In this episode, Kay Howard returns home to visit her family in the quaint fishing village of her youth, while Pembleton is forced to replace her on a murder case -- and work closely with Felton. Faced with investigating the grisly homicide of an elderly woman who had her tongue cut out, a beleaguered Howard opts out of the case, hoping to refresh herself by renewing ties to family and friends at home. In her absence, Giardello assigns a reluctant Pembleton to work with Felton on the case, pairing two detectives whose opinions often violently conflict. Meanwhile, Howard is perturbed that her work has followed her home when she is asked to help investigate the murder of an environmentalist who had clashed with local fisherman. As her participation in the case deepens, Howard realizes that one of her close friends -- or even a relative -- may be responsible for the murder. Commercials deleted.
