INVADERS, THE: QUANTITY UNKNOWN (TV)
Summary
One in this series of science fiction programs about architect David Vincent's attempts to stop space aliens from taking over the world. In this episode, Vincent appears on the scene when a strange metal cylinder is found in the cockpit of a crashed plane, and the unearthly object is almost stolen by alien hijackers who jump a mail truck carrying it to a research lab. Vincent gets A.J. Richards, the head of the lab, to help him set a trap for the aliens using a copy of the cylinder. The plan is unsuccessful, and Richards terminates their relationship when the police inform him of Vincent's long record of alien sightings. However, Vincent forges an alliance with a lab security guard who says his wife and daughter were killed by the aliens; and gets some additional assistance from lab scientist Diane Oberly, who makes some startling discoveries about the cylinder. Vincent attempts to steal the cylinder from the lab before the aliens do. Commercials deleted.
