ALL MY CHILDREN {DIMITRI PROPOSES TO ERICA} (TV)

Summary

One in this daytime serial about the lives and loves of the residents of Pine Valley, Pennsylvania. This episode includes the following plot developments: Galen Henderson provokes Carter Jones -- who is in the hospital faking a coma -- to reveal his charade by taunting him in front of Trevor Dillon and a group of doctors gathered in his room; Jackson Montgomery and Angelique Marick kiss and he tells her he loves her; in Budapest, Edmund Grey asks a local woman for information about Dimitri Marick, telling her that he is a writer doing research on Hungarian nobility; at Vadzel, the Marick ancestral estate in Budapest, Dimitri surprises Erica with a marriage proposal; Carter springs out of bed and tries to strangle Galen, but is restrained by Trevor; Galen berates the doctors for not having believed her that Carter was faking the coma; Erica says she will have to think about Dimitri's proposal, due to the difficult time he put her through recently; Natalie Dillon joins the group at Carter's hospital room and reminds him how he opened up to her and called himself "Kyle," and suggests the two share a special understanding because they were both betrayed by people they loved -- he by his mother, she by her sister Janet; Natalie tells Carter it is time to admit that he needs help; Edmund calls Jackson from Hungary wanting to know if Brooke is all right, and Jackson -- in bed with Angelique -- tells him that Brooke is fed up with him and has asked Jackson to warn Dimitri that Edmund is coming after him; Jackson and Angelique each try to convince Edmund to come home but he hangs up on them; talking to himself, Edmund bitterly blames Dimitri for costing him Brooke; Edmund imagines Erica and Dimitri conspiring against and laughing at him, with Erica suggesting that Dimitri is the one and only Marick heir and rightful owner of both family homes; Jeremy Hunter tells Trevor and Natalie that he is leaving Pine Valley to accept a position as dean of humanities at a university; Carter requests to see Natalie again and he tells her that he can't go on as he has been and that he wishes to turn his life around; Carter apologizes to Galen and says that he will plead guilty and hopes that he can get treatment while incarcerated; when Carter is taken away by the police, Galen and Natalie share an emotional embrace; Erica and Dimitri kiss and head towards the bedroom after a romantic evening of dinner and dancing at Vadzel; and an agitated Edmund prepares to take action.
