ALL MY CHILDREN {TAD AND DIXIE'S SECOND WEDDING} (TV)
Summary
One in this daytime serial about the lives and loves of the residents of Pine Valley, Pennsylvania. In this episode, Tad Martin and Dixie Cooney marry for the second time. The following events unfold at Cortlandt Manor, Dixie's family homestead, where the guests gather for the garden nuptials: Dixie prepares upstairs, attended by matron of honor Gloria Chandler and bridesmaids Maria Grey and Hayley Vaughan; Del Henry arrives and has a heated confrontation with Palmer when Palmer learns of Del's claim to be Dixie's half-brother; as guests look on, Tad informs Palmer that Del's claim is valid and Palmer angrily denounces Del's father, Seabone Hunkle, ordering Del to leave the premises at once; Dixie notices the growing spectacle from her bedroom window and comes down in her robe to insist that Del be allowed to stay; Palmer acquiesces and calls a temporary truce; a very nervous Janet, calling herself "Jane," arrives at the wedding and is taken under Trevor's wing -- which only serves to make her more uncomfortable; the wedding ceremony, which includes a vocal performance of Stephen Sondheim's "Not a Day Goes By," goes smoothly for the happy couple; Del insists on going through the receiving line and is snubbed by Tad and Palmer; and Maria, who was greatly agitated by Del's arrival at the wedding, attempts to depart early, but is confronted by Del as she tries to leave the reception.
