MY SO-CALLED LIFE: SO-CALLED ANGEL (TV)
Summary
One in this series of dramas about the life of Angela Chase, an angst-ridden fifteen-year-old girl, and her family and friends. In this episode, Angela suspects child abuse when Rickie comes to school with a black eye. Angela's parents, Patti and Graham, share her suspicions but disagree with their daughter about allowing the boy to stay with them. Unbeknownst to them, Rickie has no place to live: he has been kicked out of his house because his family is threatened by his sexuality. On advice from Jordan, he elects to seek refuge in an abandoned warehouse populated by runaway teenagers. The next day, Angela encounters a homeless girl at school, confronts Jordan about Rickie's whereabouts, and later confides in Brian about the situation. But when Patti and Graham find out about Rickie's location in the warehouse, they decide to go to the police. The following night, Christmas Eve, Angela learns of her parents' actions and races out of the house in anger, leaving her mother to worry about whether she will return home. Patti searches for Angela and meets up with the homeless girl, who reveals some shocking information about herself. Meanwhile, Brian struggles with a bout of depression when his parents leave him alone for ten days, and Sharon asks Rayanne to work with her at the teen help line on Christmas Eve. Commercials deleted.
