BATMAN: THE BIRD'S LAST JEST (TV)
Summary
One in this series of comedy adventure programs about Batman, a crimefighting superhero, and his youthful sidekick Robin. In part two of this two-part episode, after a brief review of part one, "The Penguin's Nest" (cataloged as T:35972), the dynamic duo are able to foil the feathered felon's attempt to kidnap Chief O'Hara. The caped crusaders misstep, however, when they try to infiltrate the Penguin's counterfeiting ring by passing off their staid butler Alfred as famed forgerer "Quill Pen" Quirch. Recognizing Alfred as an employee of banker Bruce Wayne, the Penguin demands that the affluent Wayne pay him a ransom of one million dollars or see his stolid major d'omo baked alive in a monstrous pie. Batman and Robin race to arrive before the virtuous valet is transformed into a gigantic human pastry by an unholy circle of chefs. Commercials deleted.
