JON STEWART SHOW, THE {JEFF FAHEY, JASON LONDON, MARY J. BLIGE, LISA PALAC} (TV)

Summary

One in a series of late-night talk shows hosted by Jon Stewart. On this program, Stewart is joined by actor Jeff Fahey, actor Jason London, "cybersex queen" Lisa Palac, and singer Mary J. Blige. After introducing the evening's house band -- Paul and Irvin Gordon who are twin ukelele players -- Stewart interviews actor Jeff Fahey. Fahey comments on his extensive world travels and his television series "The Marshal." This interview is followed by a video of a shirtless Stewart in a sauna playing "This Little Piggy..." with the toes of a rotund man in a towel. The next guest is the desperate, foul-mouthed, chain-smoking hand puppet named Raymond who shows a clip from his new "family" show called "Raymond & Ass." On this program Raymond's sidekick is a woman's gyrating buttocks. After begging Stewart to "float him a grand," he tries to induce the boyish host into making a drug delivery for him. Stewart's is then joined by Jason London who talks about being a twin, working in an Aerosmith video, his new film "Safe Passage," and his "slacker hero" status which was nurtured by his role in the film "Dazed and Confused." Stewart then introduces singer Mary J. Blige, who performs "I'm Going Down" from her album, "My Life." The host then welcomes Lisa Palac, writer and founder of the hi-tech love magazine "Future Sex," who comments on her erotica CD, "The Edge of the Bed: Cyborgasm 2," and her former stance as an anti-porn feminist. For the umpteenth time ventriloquist act "Rusty Putnam and Terry" is bumped from the show due to a lack of time. Mary J. Blige performs over the closing credits. Includes commercials.
