PICKET FENCES: ABOMINABLE SNOWMAN (TV)
Summary
One in this series of offbeat dramas that often focuses on social issues as it chronicles the lives of Rome, Wisconsin, residents, including town Sheriff Jimmy Brock; his wife Dr. Jill Brock; their three children, Kimberly, Matthew, and Zachary; and his two deputies Kenny Lacos and Maxine Stewart. In this episode, an elderly man, Howard Buss, who is suffering from Alzheimer's disease, decides that there is an abominable snowman in his shed. When he shoots at the shed with a cannon, his son Kevin has a heart attack. Kevin has congenital heart disease and needs a transplant immediately. Howard tells Jill that he wants to give Kevin his heart since he would rather have his son live a full life than to continue deteriorating himself. Judge Henry Bone finds himself embroiled in a medical debate over whether or not a hospital may help a patient commit suicide. Meanwhile, while searching for the abominable snowman themselves, Matthew and Zachary run come across Frank the Potato Man, who has been sleeping in a cave in Rome. After learning that it is basically illegal to be homeless in Rome, Maxine takes Frank to Douglas Wambaugh, who agrees to bring the case to court. Commercials deleted.
