SECRET WORLD OF ALEX MACK, THE: THE ACCIDENT {SERIES PREMIERE} (TV)
Summary
The premiere episode of this series about an ordinary teenager named Alex Mack who gains supernatural powers when she is accidentally sprayed by a hazardous compound. In this episode, Alex faces her first day of junior high school. Things get off to a tumultuous start when Alex is lost in math class and is harassed by the girls' basketball team. On her way home from school, Alex is almost hit by a truck from a chemical plant. The driver turns to avoid hitting her and crashes into a fire hydrant. During the impact, a barrel from the back of the truck breaks open and Alex finds herself covered with a strange liquid. She races home to clean herself and discovers that she is able to activate electrical appliances without touching them. Concerned about her well-being, Alex tells her sister Annie, who is a scientific genius, and her best friend, Raymond, about her experience. All the while, Alex discovers more and more things she can do, including the ability to metamorphose into a liquid. Meanwhile, an evil security guard from the chemistry plant where Alex's father is employed attempts to learn the identity of the teenager involved in the accident. Luckily for Alex, the driver of the vehicle cannot identify her.
