Summary
One in this series of talk/variety programs hosted by Jay Leno. Leno welcomes guests Tim Robbins, Richard Belzer, Judith Light, and performs his "Iron Jay" comedy routine. Highlights of this program include: Leno's opening monologue; talk-show staple Charo leading audience members in a conga line; an "Iron Jay" segment in which Leno appears as the hulking, obtuse fitness instructor; an interview with Tim Robbins, who is serenaded by a Mexican Elvis Presley impersonator, before commenting on his love of viewing and playing hockey, and his new film "The Shawshank Redemption"; Robbins performing his own Elvis impersonation which recalls the late "King's" penchant for gluttony and drug abuse; an interview with Richard Belzer, who chides Leno for being too nice to recent guest Dan Quayle, and recalls the physical discipline dispensed by his strict parents; and an appearance by actress Judith Light, who is promoting her television movie, "Against Their Will: Women in Prison," and is ribbed ceaselessly by Leno and Belzer about the predictably exploitive nature of a film with such a title.
