Summary
One in this series in which host William Friday, the president of the University of North Carolina, interviews successful people who reside in or hail from North Carolina. In this edition, Friday talks with the former All-American football superstar, Charlie "Choo-Choo" Justice, who discusses the following topics, among others: a fake punt in 1946 that turned out to be one of the greatest runs in college football history; being persistent and not giving up on your dreams; playing against pro teams when he graduated from high school; why he chose the University of North Carolina to play football; how the first time he touched a ball in college, he ran seventy-five yards for a touchdown; how his extraordinary vision helped him become a premiere punt returner; the reunions with his former teammates and classmates; how to save college athletics; how scholarships are not used for what they are supposed to be for; his greatest memory while playing at UNC -- beating an opponent by thirty points; what he has done with his life after athletics ended; the retirement of his jersey number; refusing to accept a fee when he makes a speaking engagement; how he didn't enjoy playing football because of the business aspect of the game.
