LIDSVILLE: WORLD IN A HAT (TV)
Summary
The first in this series about a curious boy named Mark who enters the land of Lidsville, which is occupied by hat creatures who are both good and bad and is ruled by an evil magician. In this episode, Mark wanders backstage after a magic show and finds the magician's hat on the floor. When he touches it, the room begins to shake, and the hat grows. While trying to get a better look inside the hat, he falls in and enters Lidsville. Hoo Doo, the evil tyrant, considers Mark a spy and tells Weenie the Genie to take him to the jail. Weenie is fascinated by Mark's description of the real world, and the boy persuades Weenie to help him escape. Hoo Doo is working on a plan to punish the hat creatures because they won't pay their taxes. Mark promises to get Weenie's magic ring back from Hoo Doo. When this attempt succeeds, Hoo Doo sends troops to capture Mark and Weenie and get the ring back. The creatures of Lidsville help foil Hoo Doo's efforts, but the evil one will not give up easily. Commercials deleted.
