HOMICIDE: LIFE ON THE STREET: SNIPER: PART 2 (TV)
Summary
One in this dramatic police series about a department of reflective homicide detectives in Baltimore, Maryland. In this episode, part two of two, a special news bulletin announces that three more people have been killed by sniper fire. This baffles and frustrates the detectives, as their suspect for the initial attacks killed himself. At the scene, they find it different from those of the original sniper attacks: there is no hangman game drawn on the rooftop. Pembleton, who is working without sleep as the primary detective on the case, feels the new sniper is possibly a friend or colleague of the original sniper. Meanwhile, Captain Russert has been demoted by Colonel Barnfather for insubordination, and the friction between the two grows, especially when she goes against Barnfather's orders and helps with the case. The entire city is thrown into a state of frenzy when yet another attack occurs. At this attack, the same eyewitness from the first shooting shows up, and the detectives become suspicious. Pembleton and Bayliss feel that this eyewitness is their sniper, and much to the chagrin of Pembleton, employ Russert's help in getting him to confess. Commercials deleted.
