HOMICIDE: LIFE ON THE STREET: THE HAT (TV)
Summary
One in this dramatic police series about a department of reflective homicide detectives in Baltimore, Maryland. In this episode, Detectives Lewis and Kellerman are sent to Pennsylvania to pick up Rose Hallagan, the main suspect in the killing of her husband. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Giardello is interviewing for the vacant job of captain, and the department has a feeling he has the position locked up. Detective Munch is due to appear in court about a murder scene, but Brody's video doesn't show the valuable piece of information Munch is relying on. While driving Rose back to Baltimore, Kellerman persuades Lewis to stop at the Enchanted Forest, a place Kellerman used to go as a kid. The detectives panic when Rose uses the bathroom and then disappears. However, they are relieved to find that she is already waiting for them at the car, and they all proceed back to the precinct. When Giardello comes back from the interview, the department throws a premature surprise party. Just as they are getting ready to celebrate again, the announcement is made that Lieutenant Gaffney has been named the new captain. Meanwhile, Kellerman and Lewis stop at a diner to eat and Rose goes to the bathroom once again, but this time she doesn't reappear. They eventually find her -- waiting for them with another dead body. Commercials deleted.
