One in this series of stock market and financial analysis programs hosted by Louis Rukeyser. In this edition, which focuses on technology, Rukeyser makes opening remarks about the speed with which technology moves past attempts at government control, and contends that technology is the financial fuel of the 1990s. He then presents the Dow Jones and broader market indexes for the week of June 19 through June 23,1995, and comments on the bond market. The group discusses the following topics, among others: whether a correction is imminent for soaring technology stocks; investments they would buy or sell at the moment; the possibility of an IBM-Lotus merger; new trends in technology, including increasing penetration of computers into the home, the escalating war between cable and telecommunications companies, and the growth of the internet.
