HOMICIDE: LIFE ON THE STREET: STAKEOUT (TV)
Summary
One in this dramatic police series about a department of reflective homicide detectives in Baltimore, Maryland. In this episode, Detectives Pembleton and Bayliss are investigating a serial murder case, and the whole department becomes involved when a stakeout is set up around the suspect's house. Lieutenant Giardello desperately wants the case solved and refuses to go to San Francisco for his daughter's wedding until some developments have been made. During the around-the-clock stakeout, the detectives do some soul-searching and a rumor spreads that Bayliss is seriously contemplating leaving the homicide unit. While Kellerman and Russert are on duty, a light goes on in the house -- but it is not their suspect. The man caught in the house leads them to even more bodies buried in remote areas. Giardello decides to join Pembleton in the stakeout and the two talk about the hardships of fatherhood, which Pembleton will soon learn firsthand. They finally do catch their suspect, and Pembleton wonders whether Bayliss will actually give up "the job." Commercials deleted.
