ROSEANNE: MILLIONS FROM HEAVEN (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about Roseanne and Dan Conner, a working-class couple who live in Lanford, Illinois, and their three kids, D.J., Darlene, and Becky. In this episode, Jackie rushes into the Conners' home, screaming that she and Roseanne have won $108 million in the Illinois Lottery. Clad only in a bra and sweatpants, Roseanne freaks out and jumps for joy. Once she tells Dan the good news, hysteria ensues and he gives her a piggyback ride. The family congregates to discuss how the money will affect their future together. Then, Dan and Roseanne speak with a lottery representative and a newscaster, both of whom warn them about changes that may occur in their lives. A festive atmosphere and media frenzy soon envelop the household. But Dan and Roseanne quickly grow weary of the dollar signs in the eyes of Bev, Leon, and the horde of strangers in their home, so they find a way to escape the crowds. Darlene, meanwhile, experiences an array of heartfelt emotions due to the hormones surging through her body during her pregnancy. The program concludes with Robin Leach displaying and showcasing the Conners' working-class, polyester furnishings for "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous." Includes commercials.
