Summary
One in this series of action/adventure dramas about private investigator Dan Tanna, who haunts the Las Vegas strip. As the program begins, a botched robbery results in the death of Joe, a security guard whose nephew is casino owner Phillip Roth. Grieving over the loss of his uncle, Phillip wants to test his security system and asks Dan to hire four other men to break into one of his casinos. At $25,000 each, Dan employs the services of electronics whiz Mr. Klaus; a criminal safecracker, Freddie Fingers; a wire man named Vinnie; and Jerry, a private investigator who will drive the getaway car. With the delivery of a stage prop as their cover, they plan to enter the Desert Inn through a stage door, traverse a catwalk, and explode the wall during a loud musical number; in the neighboring room holding the safe, a closed-circuit camera will be circumvented with a video transmission. Danger looms since the five men cannot carry guns and the casino's security guards are unaware of the plan. To prepare, the men time the spectacular stage show and record a videotape of the safe to use later. And on the big night, the heist of millions of dollars unfolds according to the mastermind plan, but problems develop when one of the men absconds with the money. Commercials deleted.
