HOMICIDE: LIFE ON THE STREET: M.E., MYSELF, AND I (TV)

Summary

One in this dramatic police series about a department of reflective homicide detectives in Baltimore, Maryland. In this episode, an agent from the FBI comes to the squad room to interview the detectives about Kellerman with regard to the corruption investigation. Detectives Lewis and Bayliss meet the new chief medical examiner, Dr. Julianna Cox, when the body of a prostitute is found. Bayliss is impressed by Cox's no-nonsense attitude when she expresses her anger that someone touched the body before she arrived. A homeless man, seen running away from the scene of the crime, admits to killing the prostitute. Meanwhile, with his wedding anniversary coming up, Detective Pembleton wants to do something romantic and asks Detective Munch for advice. The only problem is that Pembleton's blood pressure medicine, which he must take regularly, ruins the chances of making love to his wife. Kellerman is visibly nervous about the questions the FBI agent asks the detectives. Bayliss connects his suspect with another prostitute-killing and wonders why the detective on that case let certain aspects of the murder investigation slide. Cox is also curious why the medical examiner declared that the first prostitute had died from an overdose when she was clearly strangled. Kellerman loses his cool at the bar when a former arson detective who is also under investigation comes in for a drink. Cox helps Bayliss with his case and he learns the truth about both cases, and also something about Cox. Commercials deleted.
