HOMICIDE: LIFE ON THE STREET: CONTROL (TV)
Summary
One in this dramatic police series about a department of reflective homicide detectives in Baltimore, Maryland. In this episode, Detective Pembleton anxiously is waiting for the phone to ring in order to work on his first case after his stroke. A case involving the murders of a woman and her twin boys comes up, but Detective Bayliss is assigned as the primary detective. Detectives Lewis and Munch investigate the murder of a junkie whose body was found on the street, and a bystander reluctantly tells Lewis that Luther Mahoney may be involved in the murder. Bayliss and Pembleton talk to the murdered woman's housekeeper, who mentions the woman's boyfriend as well as her ex-husband. Lewis is anxious to finally put Mahoney away and seeks assistance from Detective Terri Stivers of the narcotics unit because of her hatred towards Mahoney. Meanwhile, Detective Kellerman is awaiting a summons to appear before the grand jury regarding the on-going corruption investigation against him. Lewis interviews a suspect, Mahoney's nephew, who tells the detectives Mahoney was definitely involved with the murder. Pembleton believes the boyfriend is their killer, but Bayliss insists on talking to the ex-husband, who is an officer in the United States Navy. Just as Lewis is ready to nail Mahoney, the statement made by Mahoney's nephew is reversed. Bayliss and Pembleton interrogate the naval officer about the murder of his ex-wife and kids. Lewis can't believe that Mahoney is going to walk away from a murder charge once again. Commercials deleted.
