NYPD BLUE: THICK STU (TV)
Summary
One in this series of rough-edged police dramas about the cases and private lives of the detectives and station house personnel of a Manhattan precinct. In this episode, Detectives Simone and Sipowicz lend a hand to Detective Stu Morissey's ongoing missing child case. Once the detectives rehash the details of the alleged kidnapping with the baby's father, Simone and Sipowicz include the father as a prime suspect. Meanwhile, Detective Martinez campaigns to be the squad's union delegate, and Sipowicz and Detective Medavoy decide to have a "friendly" competition about their diets. Simone is also busy handling tenants' problems in the Brooklyn apartment building that he has inherited. The workload on the missing child case becomes heavier when Sipowicz and Simone receive word from Lieutenant Fancy that an eyewitness saw someone dump a bag over the Brooklyn Bridge. Once the bag is recovered from the river, the detectives are certain they know who the suspect is. Just as the case is being wrapped up, Simone gets a call from the Brooklyn homicide unit about one of his tenants, who was murdered execution-style through the peephole in her door.
